How Sydney changes the site
Finance, health, education, tourism, the port and the airport all employ people here, alongside a huge number of small trades and shops. Federation cottages, inner-city terraces and brick bungalows sit beside blocks of units, and apartment buildings line many of the train corridors.
Many Sydney clients only have time to deal with a legal matter after work, so evening appointments, an enquiry form that works at night and a clear note on response times matter. Sydney is wide enough that clients choose a firm near home or work, so name Hornsby and Bondi, show parking and say which meeting options spare them a long drive. Clients around Sydney come from many backgrounds and may be more at ease in another language, so name the languages your team speaks and keep the plain-language pages short and clear. Apartment owners around Sydney meet disputes with body corporates, neighbours and developers, so a page for strata and unit matters, saying plainly what you advise on, gives them somewhere to start.
Name the places you really work, the way people type them: Hornsby, Burwood and Sutherland, not just Sydney.

The rules in New South Wales
New South Wales sits under the Legal Profession Uniform Law, which shapes what a firm can say about itself. The practice's name, the principal and the costs wording all need a lawyer's read before they go up.
Fee information has to be accurate and complete, because Australian Consumer Law treats a misleading price statement as a breach.

Law firms in Sydney: questions
- Can I call my firm a specialist in family law?
- Only if the lawyer holds an accredited specialisation in that area. Conduct Rule 36 bars unearned specialist claims. Instead, say what share of your work is family law, who handles it and how long they have practised in it. That's accurate and still reads as strong.
- Should the website list fees?
- Where you can. A fixed fee for a will, a conveyance or a power of attorney is worth showing. For disputes, explain how fees are worked out, whether you give an estimate and when costs are reviewed. A client who can't tell what a first call will cost often doesn't make it.
- Is it worth a Sydney law firm saying which languages they can help in?
- Often, if you can really deliver it. Suburbs like Burwood, Hurstville and Cabramatta have many households that speak another language at home, and a clear line on the site earns trust quickly. Only offer what a person can actually do on the phone.
